Track & Field Club 10th Anniversary.>>>

Thanks to everyone who came to the 10th anniversary bash in June. We had a lot of fun. So much in fact that someone suggested we do it again. So er, the next Track & Field Club night will be on Saturday 21 November, again at the Betsey. Tickets on sale soon!

Before that, we're putting plans in place for a number of new releases on our record label. Watch this space for news of those. And we'll also be continuing our work with Fortuna Pop under our Secret Knowledge banner to bring you some of our favourite bands to London for rock concerts.

BEAT THE CREDIT CRUNCH- the lucky dip is back...>>>

To cheer you up on these rather dark Autumnal evenings, here's spanking special offer from Track & Field HQ to help you beat the credit crunch...

Yes, it's the return of the T&F Lucky Dip! Get hold of six (count 'em!) Track & Field CDs in one of our special lucky dip bags. All for the bargain price of 12 whole pounds. You could get anything from Darren Hayman to Homescience but I'm sure you'll agree that's still likely to be nothing less than brilliant.

The 12 pounds price includes shipping for UK punters. If you live elsewhere then drop us an email and we'll discuss terms. And, as before, all the CDs will be different...

New album from Darren Hayman>>>

Darren Hayman's new album 'Pram Town' (T&F - Heat 51) hit the shops in January. The album is available on CD and download.

A limited edition 4 track CD EP was given away with albums at his instore show at Rough Trade East last week. We're down to the last few of these and are still iving them away with any Darren album bought from us. Email info@trackandfield.org.uk for details.

'Pram Town' was an affectionate name given to Harlow, Essex in the
early 1950s. The album is a set of songs about someone who doesn't escape. A big fish in a little pond who is thrown a lifeline whilst
fare-evading in a first class train carriage. This record is
about good ideas gone bad. It's about how pride can lose you love.
It's about high and low ambition and the gap between.

God save the Clientele...>>>

The Clientele photo shoot in Brick Lane, London...is the latest long player from newest members of the T&F family, The Clientele, who in the US of A are labelmates of Arcade Fire and Teenage Fanclub. This their third LP proper sees the band "release their inner Monkees" with a brighter, happier tint to their shimmery '60s West Coast pop.

In their words, The Clientele are "a lovely blend of Big Star twisted power-pop and country achin', with flashes of the Beatles at their most joyful and upbeat." Just the thing to bring a little sunshine into these dark winter nights.

You can find "God save the Clientele" at your local record emporium or buy it from us now.
